It also has a jacket optionally that covers two sides for heating and cooling application. The mixing blades are sigma type steel casted and these blades contra-rotate at a specified clearance for optimum mixing outputs. Working Principle of Lab Sigma Mixer
Mixing is the main activity in any industrial blending process. Homogeneous mixing ensure quality of final product which is key for quality finish product. Sigma Mixer perform tangential action kneading through its Z shapes blades. These Z shaped blades rotates in opposite direction to each other which makes mixing really easy. Through option of adjusting RPM of blades one can achieve quality mixing. As some products required slow speed mixing when adding liquid to avoid foaming & overflowing. For discharge of product tilting and screw extruder system can be offered.
Mixing action is combination of various activities which generate vertex for homogeneous mixing operations. Shearing action between blades and side walls resulting reduction of solid product. Ratio of front and rear blade usually is 3:2 for mixing of heavily viscous products.
In case of overlapping mechanism blades overlap one saddle of the bowl. In overlapping action it is essential that the relative position of the two blades are unchanged. Both the blades rotate with equal speed. Product flow freely into the blades are mixed by overlapping blade action.
Discharge mechanism are two types – one is hydraulic tilting through pneumatic operated power pack system and second is mechanism tilting through induction & gearbox. Suppose if after kneading product is needed to be in specific form then side discharge screw system offered.
