Octagonal Blender is very effective performing of dry blending, mixing, lubrication and homogenizing of the powder and granules. One third quantity of pharmaceutical octagonal blender kept empty for efficient mixing. Octagonal mixer perform homogeneous mixing of granules due to octagon type shape and low rotation speed. The material loading and unloading by detachable container for easy and dust free operation. For fast and effective mixing baffles are provided. Hand wheel fitted on gear box for easy positioning and control panel fitted with timer for setting of mixing time. Also fitted with safety around hard with limit switch for safety operation. Due to the octagonal shape of the product container, which causes powder to come from all sides in an octagon shaped blender, the required rpm is lower. Process Operation of Octagonal Blender

Octagonal Blender is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagon shape of container. It can be used for Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products etc.

In Octagonal Blender the granules comes from all sides due to the octagonal shape of the product container, hence requirement of RPM is less. Suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if container have only slow movement and will results in good quality of blending / lubrication of granules.

Octagonal Blender Design Features:

  • Octagonal Blender suitable for proper mixing of dry powder and granules. Mixing done at slow speed rotation for homogeneous blending operations. Octagonal shaped vessel is key principle which enable thorough rotation of powder to submerge one into another.  Rectangular cover for material charging and sanitary valve for material discharge makes it GMP octagonal blender. Adjustable baffles inside the container increase mixing efficiency to new level. All parts coming in contact with powder are made from stainless steel 316 materials. Machine structure is heavy duty and made in stainless steel 304 materials. Inside cone, shaft and baffles are mirror polish hence make it food grade octagonal blender.
  • Octagonal Blender assembly consist A shaped structure, motor, gearbox, shaft, baffles, top cover and discharge butterfly valve. Stainless steel control panel provided with start stop functions, emergency stop switch, RPM meter, Timer, Reverse Forward switch. Optional we also provide PLC HMI based control panel on specific ordered equipments. Safety railing with interlock by sensor provided for safety of operator. Hole for foundation bolt provided at bottom of leg for possible civil work at end user’s premises.
